Membership Benefits

The Florida Association of Basketball Coaches was born 2 years ago under the leadership of Coach Ed Kershner from Oviedo and Larry Brown, former president of the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches who now resides in the Sunshine State. Membership includes both Men & Women coaches on the high school, junior college, and 4 year college levels. The group was formed to promote basketball on all levels in Florida and has gradually improved on the FABC product. We want to help serve all basketball coaches and honor successes of players, coaches and teams of the past, present, and future.

  • Fall Basketball Clinics in different regions of the state
  • FABC Senior Boys & Senior Girls allstar games in mid-March
  • FABC / USSSA "Futures Shootout" in June highlighting the top returning players featuring a top 20 Frosh-Soph & top 2o Jr-Sr doubleheader in the Panhandle, Central Florida, and South Florida for Boys & Girls invited players
  • Special discount certificates from the ROCK, the official ball of the FABC and Fast Model Sports Technologies
  • Members get in free to all events sponsored by the FABC
  • Fall & Spring Social gatherings in various areas of the state
  • Planned 3 day-2 night Bahamas Cruise for the membership in the Spring or Summer
  • Coach of the Year Awards
  • "Court of Legends" hall of fame which honors the great coaches, players, & teams from the past and present on all levels.
  • FABC website will add feature articles daily relating to all levels of Sunshine State hoops plus will add such features as job listings, games & tournament schedule notes.
  • A copy of the updated list of coaching records of all levels of active,retired, and deceased coaches in Sunshine State hoop history.
