USSSA/FABC “FUTURES SHOOTOUTS” to be held Thursday, June 30, 2011
Last year's FABC “Futures Shootouts” was a huge success for the organization. The one day event highlights a doubleheader featuring the top 20 freshmen and sophomores combined in game 1 while the top 20 juniors and seniors showcased in game 2. This year's event will be held on June 30th at Vanguard High school in Ocala. Last year, Rick Staudt, a scout did an outstanding job reporting the games which were sent to various recruiting around the Southeast. Download Roster.
FABC LOOKING INTO SEPTEMBER “CRUISING WITH THE ROCK” CLINIC
The FABC and The Rock Basketball are hoping to sponsor a 3 day – 2 night cruise this upcoming mid-September if arrangements can be made to make it affordable for our coaches & family members. The Rock will sponsor a college coach to give a 1 man clinic on the ship in the morning while the afternoon and evenings will be free for vacation time. It should qualify as a tax deduction because of the educational coaching concept. More on this later as the search process continues.
